Be-Free wins the Chaillot Prize 2009

On 15 December, Ambassador Luigi Narbone, Head of the European Union Delegation for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwaiti, Oman, Qatar and United Arab Emirates awarded the European Commission 2009 Chaillot Prize to Be-Free in a ceremony hosted by British Ambassador Jamie Bowden, at his residence.

Launch of "Protect Children Now" Movement

A new international child safety movement was launched today in Bahrain ending the week which has marked Universal Children's Day, the International Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse and the 20th Anniversary for the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child, Protect Children Now' is a movement to promote the safety of children from abuse

Essential Protection Skills for Alkawthar Orphans Society

In cooperation with Alkawther Society for orphans, Be-Free conducted two workshops on Essential Protection Skills for children ages 7-9 years, and 10- 12 years old. Many people feel sorry and petty for the orphans when dealing with them, this way of communicating affects negatively the way these children look at themselves.

Code of Ethics for protecting children and their rights

Recently the code of ethics for protecting children and their rights has been discussed to finalize it and get it ready for launching as one of the outcomes of the International Conference on "Effective Strategies on the Prevention of Child Online, Trafficking, Pornography and Abuse" that Be-Free has organized on 9-10 May 2009.

Be-Free Continuous Weekly Radio Show

For the last six years Be-Free program conducted a weekly radio show in-cooperation with Radio Bahrain- Family program.
The series of this month is about "Opening the door to our beautiful feelings toward our children", which mainly discusses the feelings of parents towards their children

Leadership Training Guide for Teenagers

Be-Free Trained trainers who work with teenagers ages 12 to 16 years old, on how to use the leadership training guide "Yes... Workshops in Bahrain Bayan School

Be-Free participated in Bahrain Bayan School Anti-Bullying Week. Be-Free trained 75 child on the essential protection skills. These skills emphasizes the strength of the child and empowers him/her with necessary skills to protect him/her from getting abused or bullied.
